Research On The Marginal Transformation Of Export Growth Of Jiangsu Manufacturing Industry Under The Constraints Of Energy And Environment

With the pace of reform and opening up,the level of economic development in China has been greatly improved.The manufacturing industry is not only the main industry of wealth creation,but also the main source of energy consumption and environmental pollution.As a small province of energy province,Jiangsu province is constrained by energy demand,environmental carrying capacity,foreign anti-dumping and trade barriers.The theory,represented by enterprise heterogeneity,leads to the concept of marginal dual for export growth,which enriches the research on export growth in academic circles.The marginal dual refers to the intensive margin and the extensive margin,which are defined by the quantity growth,the product richness and the new market possession.Growth along different margins will bring a different welfare effect.A large number of studies have found that if a country or a region's exports increase along the intensive margin,it may cause the deterioration of the terms of trade,and is not conducive to resist external risks.But if we expand along the margin,we will enrich the product diversification,improve the trade status and enhance the export stability.Therefore,more and more scholars have studied the factors that affect the marginal dual of export.The research on Jiangsu manufacturing export situation and the analysis on the current situation of energy and environment,using the HS6 encoding to calculate the 2012-2016 manufacturing industry in Jiangsu province and the whole industry segments of marginal dual,found that Jiangsu manufacturing export growth mainly depends on the marginal intensive marginal growth.The conclusion is obtained by theoretical analysis:under the constraints of the energy and environment,Jiangsu manufacturing export growth should be transformed from the intensive margin of to the extensive margin.Then the trade gravitational model is used to make an empirical analysis.It is found that the reduction of energy consumption and environmental pollution is beneficial to the growth of the extensive margin.Finally,relevant policy suggestions will be put forward to help the transformation of marginal dual for export growth of Jiangsu.
