With the rapid economic development in China and the impact of economic globalization,the competition between enterprises is becoming fiercer.This change is particularly evident in the area of electronic information.The theory of project management has matured.This paper discusses how to apply project management theory to the research and development of electronic product R&D project.This paper first introduces the development of project management domestic and overseas as well as the general theory of project management and the characteristics of project management.R&D projects in electronic products in addition to having common items in common,but also has its unique high-risk,high-uncertainty characteristics.In view of these characteristics of R&D projects of electronic products,this paper divides the R&D projects of electronic products into phases such as concept,definition,execution,verification and approval.In the early stages of electronic product development,the product concept and definition phase.In the product concept stage,we must first set up R&D project team,the appointment of project manager.Subsequently,project manager and team members together identify product requirements.During the product definition phase,the main task of the project team is to translate the product requirements into a document-feature listthat can be used to guide the R&D work.It also specifies whether the R&D required product can be completed based on the prior art and the draft time to completeDuring the execution phase of the R&D product,after the project team completes the high level design,the task in the high level design is broken down into small work packages,and the responsible person is assigned to each work package and the completion time is estimated.Estimate the cost of the product developed and develop a detailed R&D schedule.Subsequently,the various task managers were responsible for completing the research and development tasks.The project manager is responsible for managing the operation of the entire project.When the actual situation is found to be inconsistent with the R&D plan,the project manager will take corresponding control measures.The later stages of product development consist of the verification stage and the approval stage.The main task of the verification stage is to perform functional tests,performance tests and stress tests on the products to confirm that the products developed meet the product requirements in the characteristics table.The task of the approval phase is to conduct on-site testing and pre-production testing on the product to confirm that the product meets the product manager's requirements for the product.The promotion of R&D project management methods will surely enhance the management level of R&D enterprises so as to greatly enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and allow Chinese enterprises to go abroad as soon as possible and participate in the competition with foreign advanced companies in the international market.Hopefully the contents of this paper can give some reference to domestic enterprises.
