The size of regional transportation efficiency determines the level of transportation, and the efficiency of regional transportation can well judge the status of regional transportation development. The government and relevant departments can make corresponding changes in transportation infrastructure, personnel structure, and road network improvement measures and policies based on the differences and advantages of regional transportation efficiency. The evaluation of transportation efficiency is more accurate in measuring the level of transportation, and the factors influencing regional transportation efficiency are the basis for the government to formulate policy recommendations. The coordinated development between regions is also inseparable from the measurement of regional transportation efficiency. It also provides a theoretical basis and data analysis reference for our country to more scientifically and reasonably assume the transportation system. Therefore, this paper starts from the point of how to improve the level of transportation, and empirically analyzes the regional transportation efficiency and its influencing factors. In the research and application of domestic efficiency, currently using the DEA model to evaluate efficiency is the most widely used. Therefore, this article is based on the principle of input-output equivalence.A comprehensive transportation efficiency evaluation index system was constructed with human factors, road network elements and equipment elements as input, and expected and unintended elements as outputs.Based on operational research theory, the DEA-BCC-CCR model was used to analyze the static transportation efficiency in 31 provinces across the country. From the static analysis of transport efficiency across the country and across all provinces, this paper examines the province's transport efficiency and finds that the province's overall transport efficiency presents a distribution of different trends, with regional differences evident. This is mainly due to the difference in the efficiency of transportation scale and pure technical efficiency.Based on the MAIMQUIST index and its decomposition, the dynamic transportation efficiency of 31 provinces across the country was analyzed. From the perspective of the dynamic analysis of transport efficiency across the country and in all provinces, the dynamic model found that the change in total factor productivity was affected by technological progress and technical efficiency, but technological progress dominated.Take all the factors of the input of the DEA model just as an independent variable, and the provincial efficiency evaluation value as a dependent variable. The TOBIT regression was used to analyze the impact factors affecting transportation efficiency across the country and the eastern, central and western regions. The variable that has the largest impact on transport efficiency is the road network density, indicating that it can significantly positively affect the national transport efficiency. The most important factor affecting transport efficiency in the eastern region is the density of road network. The most important factor affecting the transportation efficiency in the central region is also the density of road network. The infrastructure, equipment elements, and road network elements in the western region are lacking to some extent.Judging from the regression results and actual conditions,it is necessary to further increase the investment of transportation personnel in the western region, increase the input of equipment elements, and further expand the density of road networks.
