With the deepening of the concept of comprehensive education for quality education,the state continuously standardize the process and standards about Study Travel to guide and promote the healthy development of Study Travel taking primary and secondary school students as the main object;Parents pay more attention to children's physical and mental development,offer many opportunities for travel and rich experience for their children,and make them broaden their horizons and increase their knowledge.With the continuous release of the demand for the Study Travel market,the tourism industry responds to the national call,actively explores the development pattern of "Tourism + Education",and actively promotes the service to attract the primary and middle school students' tourism market.However,the problem is that there are no differences between Study Travel and general adult tourism,"traveling without learning" or "learning without traveling" has become an important topic discussed by government departments and tourism industry at present.The tour guide,as the guide of the travel,occupies an important position in the tourist activities.However the lagging of the knowledge and experience of the tour guide will affect the quality of travel,which is difficult to reach the standard of the Study Travel.Therefore the improvement of the quality of Study Travel should begin with the training of the tour guide's competence,and the Training Needs Assessment(TNA)is the prerequisite and foundation for ensuring the training effect.This paper make up for the shortcomings of traditional TNA,and give a full play to the measurable advantages of competency,combining competency theory with TNA.Firstly,the competency of tour guides is concluded in this paper preliminarily through sorting out and analyzing 31 documents.Secondly,referring to the guide post instructions of the ministry of research,the position requirements of the study tour guide are clarified,and the corresponding competence characteristics are summed up.Thirdly,the composition of the competence of the tour guide is clarified with Behavior Event Interview(BEI).Finally,the 360 degree assessment is carried out on the Study Travel guide,the guide manager and the students by the form of the questionnaire,and 17 competency models of tour guide on Study Travel,including four dimensions of Knowledge and Skills,Self-concept,Personal traits and Achievement motivation,are finally constructed.On the basis of competency model,according to the special post of Study Travel guide,this paper uses AHP to calculate the weight of each competency index,and establishes a TNA system.The results show that the language expression,organization and coordination,active service,student guidance and responsibility are more important in the TNA system.On the basis of empirical research,according to the Competency Iceberg Model,the competence of the Study Travel guide can be divided into two categories:explicit and potential competence.According to the calculation of weight index,the importance of competency is also different.In this way,the competence of training is divided by the importance of plasticity matrix to provide some targeted and operable suggestions for the training of tour guides from the perspective of the selection of training mode and the execution of training content.In view of this,we expect the community to pay more attention to the Study Travel of the primary and secondary school students,pay more attention to the training of the tour guide,and promote the healthy and orderly development of the Study Travel.
