Study On The Residential Characteristics Of Migrant Workers In Chengdu

Migrant workers are the special population floating phenomenon under the two element structure of urban and rural areas in China.They are also an important force in the process of urbanization in China.With the accelerated process of urbanization,a large number of rural surplus labor migration to the city,but the capacity of the city is limited,the housing problem of a large number of migrant workers can not be guaranteed,there are many hidden dangers.If their housing problems are not properly solved,it will affect the process of "the urbanization of people" in China.In recent years,solving the urban housing problem of migrant workers is the key point for our central government to solve people's livelihood problems.As the capital city of Sichuan Province,Chengdu is the "national integrated urban and rural comprehensive supporting reform test area" approved by the State Council.It is a big market for migrant workers,and has a certain research value.In this paper,based on the methods of questionnaire survey and interview,this paper analyzes the residential characteristics and residential differences of migrant workers in Chengdu,based on the methods of questionnaire survey and interview,and studies the formation mechanism of the residence characteristics from three aspects of macro,medium and micro levels.The results of the study show that:(1)from the overall point of view,the residential characteristics of migrant workers show the following characteristics;the residential space presents the overall pattern of large dispersion and small settlement;the housing sources show the diversity of the housing information sources,the proportion of the main units or themselves,and the proportion of self-purchase is very small;the low rent capacity of the migrant workers and inadequate housing infrastructure,the housing comfort is generally low,The living environment is at a low level;residential location shows the contradiction between centripetal and centrifugal;in the future,In the future,the two major factors affecting their stay in Chengdu are income and housing.(2)the residential characteristics of migrant workers have obvious differences:occupation type,income level,social network relationship,age,sex,education and other factors affect the migrant workers' living differences.Among them,the type of occupation has a decisive influence,and its influence is extensive and profound;the income level has a direct influence on the difference of residence;the age,sex,educational background and social network have caused the living difference of migrantworkers from different aspects.(3)the characteristics of migrant workers' residence are formed by the comprehensive action of macro policy background,meso-social network and micro individual attribute.The macro policy background of household registration system,land system,housing policy and educational system determines the basic framework of migrant workers' housing characteristics.Social network relationship affects the phasing difference of migrant workers' living characteristics in Chengdu.Seniority,sex,educational background and vocational skills are the main constraints of migrant workers' career choices,which indirectly affect the formation of migrant workers' housing characteristics.
