Influence Of The FDI Of Beijing's Service Sector On The Export Structure Optimization Of Service Trading

With the development of economic globalization,the world economy has shifted its focus to service industries.Since 2015,Beijing has launched a three-year comprehensive pilot project to expand and open service industries in order to accelerate the service trade development in Beijing.However,service industries in Beijing are confronted with an enlarging trade deficit,an unbalanced industrial development and a large proportion of traditional service trades.In addition,foreign direct investments exert a great influence on the optimization of trade structures.Therefore,it's of greatest significance to study mechanisms and effects of the service trade export structure optimization influenced by foreign direct investments in the service industry of Beijing.This thesis theoretically and empirically analyzes the mechanism and effect of FDI in Beijing's service industry on the structural optimization of service trade export based on the current situation of FDI in Beijing's service industry,the scale and structure of Beijing's service trade export,and puts forward some pertinent policy proposals,so as to better promote the structural optimization of Beijing's service trade industry.This thesis is composed of seven chapters.The first chapter mainly elaborates the research background and research significance,summarizes the existing domestic and foreign literature,and introduces the research content and framework.In the second chapter,the definition of related concepts and theories are summarized.Chapter three analyzes the mechanism and effect of FDI in service industry on optimizing the export structure of service trade.Chapter four analyzes the status quo of FDI in service industry in Beijing.The fifth chapter mainly concentrates on the export scale of Beijing's service trade.It analyzes the export structure of Beijing's service trade according to STS,RCA and the complexity of export techniques.The relationship between FDI in service industry and the structural optimization of service trade export is empirically studied in the fifth chapter.In the seventh chapter,this thesis proposes some policy recommendations based on the results obtained from the previous analysis.According to mentioned-above analyses,this paper makes the following conclusions:first,foreign direct investments in the service industry of Beijing have been increased since2000,but confronted with an unbalanced industrial distribution;export structures have been improved,but the traditional service trade export still accounts for a large proportion.Secondly,theoretical analyses show that foreign direct investments in the service industries exert both enhancing and substitution effects on the service trade export structure optimization;foreign direct investments in the service industries exert an influence on the service trade export structure optimization via direct and indirect transmission mechanisms;empirical analyses show that foreign investments exert an enhancing effect on the service trade export structure and that foreign direct investments in service industries can optimize the service trade structure via a capital compensation mechanism and an industry linkage mechanism.
