Research On Organization Form Of Construction Workers From The Perspective Of Engineering Community

The group of construction workers is the foundation for the development of the construction industry and is one of the important options for most rural laborers to enter urban employment.It is also the main force for our nation to promote urbanization under the new situation.Due to the emergence of the early "labor shortage" phenomenon,the research on "migrant workers" has entered into many disciplines such as management and economics.Its research results have achieved good results in the manufacturing and service industries.However,because of the particularity of the mobile and open-air in the construction industry,the application of these results in the construction industry has been reduced.In the field of engineering management,this group is also simplified by the black box because of the logic that eating eggs needn't studying hens.With the development of engineering philosophy theory,project management theory,and organizational management theory,the basic assumption of "person" has undergone fundamental changes.Further,the related theories of the engineering community have been proposed and developed,the study of the "primary worker",which is the underlying structural role,has become more urgent.Understanding and mastering the basic situation of this group has become the basic task and important prerequisites of the engineering community research.Based on this,using the "neutral" basic ethical hypothesis,this study discusses the organizational form of the "construction worker" that be black-box simplified group,from the perspective of the engineering community;starting with the macro and meso-materials,Micro-level sources site and places site of workers to investigate,master the basic state;analyze the specific organizational forms,and further discuss with the case.From the results of this research,on the one hand,the basic state of the group is: the income of migrant workers has become the main source of their family's economic income,and the breadwinner is the main driving force;the steel-processers and carpenters are engaged in the construction site;there is a very asymmetric gender structure and an unreasonable age structure in the workplace organization.On the other hand,the majority of workers in the construction site are organized in the form of quasi-pyramid structures with blood relations and geopolitical relationships at the top of the labor representatives.Roles of labor representatives,gray-collar workers,general workers,and service workers are embedded in this structure with relationships that closely related to each other in terms.According to the research results,the research also made several suggestions on the problems existing in the group from different levels.The application of this research results can enhance the degree of understanding among members of the engineering community and reduce management costs.It can also help to further understand the organization of construction worker groups in specific engineering activities and provide a little empirical data for similar studies in the future.
