The Influence Of Technology On The Aquatic Product Intra-industry Trade Of China And Vietnam

Since the 60s of last century,the vast majority of trade has been developing between countries with similar intrinsic factor endowments in the same industry,that is,intra-industry trade.Intra-industry trade between countries and regions has many advantages,such as effectively reducing the cost of industrial structure adjustment,easing trade frictions between countries,and making trade develop harmoniously.Technological progress can bring innovation to new products.On the one hand,it can make the output and quality of products stable.On the other hand,it can make products differentiated and diversified to meet different consumption needs.Since the official signing of the China ASEAN Free Trade Zone in 2002,China and ASEAN have signed a series of cooperation agreements and have achieved fruitful results.By 2015,the free trade area has been built in a comprehensive way.The most products of Vietnam,Laos,Kampuchea and Burma in ASEAN countries have also achieved zero tariff.China and the ASEAN countries have carried out different levels of international trade.Among them,all bordering China Sea and land in Vietnam,to carry out international trade long-standing,and with the help of CAFTA,"The Belt and Road" initiative to promote bilateral intra industry trade in agricultural products especially the trade of aquatic products industry brings more opportunities and challenges.This paper adopts the research methods of combination of theoretical analysis and empirical research,firstly through the review of the review and analysis process of intra-industry trade and the related theory,combined with the topic of this paper,summarized the influence of technology on intra-industry trade in theory on the theoretical research and ideas,then summary of the theory on technical factors views on the basis of theory and research literature on the influencing factors of intra-industry trade,and then tries to analyze the effect of technology relationship of intra industry trade from the viewpoint of technology,finally analyzes how technology affects bilateral intra-industry trade.Firstly,China and Vietnam from 2004 to 2016 the bilateral trade of aquatic products industry analysis,calculate the HS encoding four customs classification of aquatic products based on the data obtained,G-L index,Bruhart index and GHM index,and analyzes the specific situation of China and aquatic products trade within the industry in vietnam.The results of the empirical analysis show that the overall level of intra-industry trade between China and Vietnam is not high,and most of the aquatic products are inter industry trade.The intra-industry trade of bilateral aquatic products is vertical.Then the product difference technology brings based on further analysis of the influence of technology on China and aquatic products industry in Vietnam trade,select several technical indicators:scientific research and development institutions,research and development personnel,technicians aquaculture funding and project funding and patent application acceptance number,impact on bilateral trade of aquatic products industry.The empirical research results show that the number of research and development institutions and research and test developers have a positive effect on the development of intra-industry trade between China and Vietnam.Finally,from the perspective of technology,some suggestions on how to improve the intra-industry trade level of two countries are put forward.It is suggested that priority should be given to developing aquatic products with low level of intra-industry trade,enriching aquatic products and increasing investment in aquatic products research institutions and personnel.
