Comparison And Analysis Towards Chinese And Japanese Industrial Sturcture Evolution

The industrial structure evolution is indispensable to the world economy growth at all times and in all countries.But whether the industrial structure evolution fits the demand of the economical development depends on the accuracy of the industrial policy.In a country's national economy development,the accuracy of its industrial policy and the rationalization of the industrial structure are the vital parts for pushing the economic development forward.For now,Chinese economy is entering "New Normal" socialist economy state,which is the crutial transitional period,and the improvments on the economic development quality and the industrial structure optimization become very important.On the other hand,in Japan,once being the world's second largest economy entity,its industrial policy has significant influence on its economy.Although the development paths are different in China and Japan,the government-dominant economic model in both countries have many similarities,which is the outcomes by government dominating in industrial policy implements on the economy transition and fast economic growth.Thus,considering the differences between the two countries' initial contiditions,institutional backgrounds and their domestic and foreign environments,the reason of Japanese economy take-off in 30 years after the Second World War and in which condition produce the formation and burst of its economic bubble are worth study and discussion.The Chinese industrial policy started at the beginning period of the Chinese reform and opening-up policy,however,the one in Japan happened after the Second World War.So,this lecture firstly uses the GDP,the proportion of three main industries and the empolyment numbers in 40 years from the beginning period of the Chinese reform and opening-up policy till today to compare with the data in Japan from the Second Wrold War to now.In doing so,this lecture finds that there are three stages in both Chinese and Japanese industrial structure evolution,that both have played significant influences on their economic developments.The insdustrial policies in both countries also constantly improve their industrial structure evolution.But there are differences between the Chinese and Japanese initial economic base.After the War,Japan has accquired the higher industrialization standard.And in the aspect of implementation of industrial policy,comparing with the Japanese better negotiation with the companies before the industrial policy implementation,Chinese industrial policy carrys more compulsory and administrative regulational traits.Hence,there are still some distance between the policy outcome expectations in two nations.Secondary,by applying grey relational analysis method,this lecture finds the tertiary industry in modern times contributes the most to the economy in both countries.In industrial structure aspect,even though the upgrading and rationalization of the Chinese industrial structure have produced positive outcomes in recent years,there are still some distance from Japan and still needs progessing.
