A Study On The Development Of Postal And Telecommunications Industry In Yanbian Area From Late Qing Dynasty To Early Republic Of China

Along with the modernization of Northeastern China,the development of Northeastern postal service and telecommunications industry from late Qing Dynasty to the early stage of the recovery of the early republic of China was manipulated by imperialism,feudalism and bureaucrat capitalism.The postal service and communications industry in particular,single-handedly controlled by Japan in the Manchukuo period,which brought serious disasters to the social development and the well-being of people in the northeastern region.After the recovery on August 15,1945,Yanbian became one of the firm rear bases for the Communist Party of China.With the acceptance and transformation,the postal service and communications industry in Yanbian area has gradually advanced and hence became an advantageous weapon in China Liberation War and has developed into "postal and telecommunications for the people".Therefore,it laid a firm foundation for China's liberation and the construction of not only Yanbian region,Northeastern China,but also the whole China.This paper mainly discusses the development of postal and telecommunications industry in Yanbian area from late Qing Dynasty to early Republic of China,sorts out the history of development in time order and combined with the knowledge of history and ethnology,and explains the development of postal and telecommunications industry in different periods.This thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which clarifies the purpose and significance of the research,research trends and research methods.The second chapter mainly discusses the general situation of postal service and telecommunications industry in Yanbian area in the late Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China,which includes the modernization of the Northeastern region,and the initial development of telecommunications industry in Yabian area.The third one mainly clarifies postal service and communications industry in Yanbian area under the Japanese control in the Manchukuo period.It is divided into three periods(take-over and intergration period,postal service and telecommunications industry after the abolition of extraterritorial juristiction in the pseudo-Manchukuo post,telecommunication integration period and the wartime postal period.)to state the control and utilization of pseudo-Manchukuo postal service and telecommunications industry.The fourth chapter is the situation of postal service and telecommunications in Yanbian area after the recovery period,in which it includes the effects and contributions after the Chinese Communist Party took over,reforming and emancipating the postal and telecommunications industry.The last chapter is the conclusion.
