Research On The Evaluation Of The Transformation Capability Of The Yangtze River Economic Belt's Development Mode And Its Influencing Factors

At present,China's economy has shifted from high speed growth stage to high quality development stage.The strength of the transformation ability of the Yangtze River Economic Belt's development mode will determine whether it can turn to the high quality development smoothly.The paper reviews the literature about the transformation of the economic development mode and the Yangtze River Economic Belt,and finds that there are not many literatures on the Yangtze River Economic Belt from the perspective of the ability to change the economic development mode and the use of spatial econometric methods.Starting from the connotation of the ability to change the economic development mode,the paper constructs the index system for evaluating the ability to change the economic development mode,and uses entropy method to determine index's weight,and then calculates the comprehensive index.The paper uses the comprehensive index to evaluate the transformation ability of the Yangtze River Economic Belt's development mode.The result shows that the Yangtze River Economic Belt's ability to change the economic development mode has been improved in 2004-2016 years.But at the same time,it is also faced with bottlenecks such as irrational allocation of production factors,low efficiency of industrial structure evolution,insufficient development of humanities and society,increasing resources and environment constraints,and lack of motivation for technological innovation.The mechanism analysis shows that: to enhance the ability to change the economic development mode,we need to improve the ability of production factors' optimal allocation,the ability of industrial optimal allocation,the support ability of humanities and society,the bearing ability of resources and environment,and the driving ability of science and education and information.Agglomeration of production factors to cities and towns is conducive to improving the capability of production factors' optimal allocation.Improving labor productivity in the third industry can promote the evolution of industrial structure,which is conducive to improving the ability of industrial optimal allocation.The increase of public facilities can promote the development of people and society and enhance the support ability of humanities and society.Although transportation infrastructure can facilitate the allocation of resources,it will inevitably lead to ecological damage,which affects the carrying capacity of resources and environment.The increase of human capital is easy to promote the progress of science and technology,which is conducive to enhancing the driving ability of science and education and information.The empirical results of the Yangtze River economic belt and the upper,middle and lower reaches show that: the more energy the unit technology dominates,the higher the overall utilization efficiency of the energy and the utilization efficiency of the technology,which will help to obtain more output,reduce the pollution emission in the unit output,and then improve the transformation capacity of Yangtze River Economic Belt's economic development mode.To increase the proportion of energy used in consumption,the proportion of energy used in production is reduced,and it is beneficial to reduce the amount of pollutant discharged by unit output,and then improve the transformation capacity of Yangtze River Economic Belt's economic development mode.In this regard,to enhance the Yangtze River Economic Belt's ability to change the economic development mode,we can consider from the following aspects: Improving the energy dominated by unit technology and the utilization efficiency of technology and energy.Increasing the proportion of energy consumption and improving energy efficiency in consumption.Improving the quality of workers and improving the efficiency of energy utilization by labourers.Pay attention to the improvement of the health level of the workers.
