Research On Female-Themed Web Novel Publishing Of Douban Reading

With the development of web novels for more than 20 years,while the market size has grown rapidly,the increasingly diverse and personalized needs of readers pose continuous challenges to web novel publishers.Focusing on the subdivision categories,sorting out the publishing and operating status of web novels with different topics,which can explore the development path suitable for current web novel publishing practitioners.This paper focuses on female-themed web novel publishing,selects Douban Reading as a research case,and mainly uses literature research,statistical method,comparative research and virtual fieldwork as research methods.Based on an overview of the current state of female-themed web novel publishing in China,first of all,this paper introduces the publishing mechanism of female-themed web novel of Douban Reading,by analyzing the publishing concepts of Douban Reading,the mastery of publishing resources,as well as publishing operations and publicity activities.Besides,through comparison with Red Sleeve Reading and South Korea's Naver,the advantages and disadvantages of Douban Reading are summarized.And then,suggestions are made for the female-themed web novel publishing of Douban Reading.Firstly,this paper expounds the research background and significance.Nowadays,it is in the transformation stage of web novel publishing.Douban Reading's publishing proposition that emphasizes content quality and encourages the creation of realistic themes is in line with the web novel publishing policy guidance of high-quality,orderly,and realistic.Choosing Douban Reading as the research case has a certain representativeness,and it can also provide a reference for other female-themed web novel publishers.Secondly,this paper elaborates the current situation of female-themed web novel publishing in China.Based on the research paradigm of "creation-managementconsumption" of network literature publishing,this paper analyzes the current status of female-themed web novel publishing in China from three aspects: the author as the creative subject,the publishing platform as the operating subject,and the reader as the consumer subject.Thirdly,this paper analyzes the publishing mechanism of female-themed web novel of Douban Reading.First,this paper introduces the publishing concepts of Douban Reading,that is,focus on readers' needs,emphasize publication quality and pay attention to publishing "new women" novels.Second,clarify the existing resources on female-themed web novel publishing.Then,after full research,the publishing operations and promotion activities of female-themed web novels of Douban Reading are discussed.Among them,the publishing operations involve author mining and service,novel editing and processing,copyright output and copyright operation;the promotion activities include multi-channel integrated marketing,as well as the expansion and maintenance of readers.Fourthly,this paper compares the similarities and differences between Douban Reading,Red Sleeve Reading and Naver in female-themed web novel publishing.On the basis of grasping the situation of Red Sleeve Reading and Naver,clarifying the highlights of female-themed web novel publishing of them,and comparing it with Douban Reading from the level of publishing operation and promotion,so as to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of female-themed web novel publishing of Douban Reading.Lastly,this paper discusses the optimization strategy of female-themed web novel publishing of Douban Reading.Aiming at the advantages and disadvantages mentioned in the previous section,it is suggested that Douban Reading can make up for the shortcomings in the current development by improving the author's incentive mechanism,increasing the breadth and depth of copyright operations,strengthening external channel cooperation,as well as building female reading community.
