Framing Analysis On Short Video Programs For International Communication

It is very important to study how the mainstream media use short video programs to carry out effectively communication to enhance China's international communication influence and increase cultural soft power.This paper attempts to study the framework of 274 episodes of China's short video program "China Mosaic" since it was launched five years ago.Based on the theory of high,medium and low level framework,combined with content analysis method and text analysis method,the framework analysis of program content,structure and text is carried out,so as to summarize the characteristics and laws of program framework construction.It is found that "China Mosaic",through the setting of six thematic frameworks,uses clear structure and objective and peaceful text expression to comprehensively display the great achievements of China's construction,the profound and interesting connotation of Chinese traditional culture,the key role China plays in international important matters and major issues,and also responds to the major international disputes against China It has created an image of a big country with profound details,vitality,prosperity,development and courage to take responsibility.It has formed four news framework characteristics:building a structural framework of collage mode,focusing on the theme of "self-expression",building a balanced and neutral reporting framework,and creating a moderate and accurate expression framework.At the same time,the author also puts forward the following two aspects of optimization suggestions for the follow-up development of the program:the first is to further respect the media communication law of the new era at the overall framework level;the second is to adhere to the organic unity of the party spirit and the people's nature at the theme framework level,and enhance the systematization and sustainability.Compared with a single program,the author obtains a large number of data from a single program.At the same time,the topics of case programs are mostly related to national politics and economy,which are closely combined with the current international relations development trend,and have prominent practical guiding significance.In addition,this paper uses the framework theory to study the relatively new short video programs,which will further enrich and expand the application scope of the framework theory.
