Ukraine is facing difficult times now,due to the outgoing conflict with Russia,Ukraine is actively searching for new partners for trade and cooperation.Since 2019 China is considered the biggest and the most important partner for Ukraine,2019 year was announced to be “the Chinese year” by Ukrainian government.This situation is being reflected in Ukrainian new media – China is being pictures as an important player on the arena of Ukrainian destiny.Ukrainian medias pay great attention to the issue of Chinese-Ukrainian cooperation,as this is one of the most important tactic of Ukrainian government – to strengthen relationships with China.In terms of the image of China on Hromadske TV and Ukrinform media platforms,I believe that the information about how China is viewed by Ukrainian government and Ukrainian people can have a big influence on building and developing relationships between these two countries.Media representation is incredibly important in our time.In order to ensure that China and Ukraine are creating healthy and mutually beneficial relations,we have to make sure that China is being presented as the country that be trusted and can be followed.In my work,I tried to research how modern Ukrainian media platforms represent China in the light of Ukrainian crisis.It was important task for me to discover if national-governed media(Ukrinform)and independent media(Hromadske TV)differ in their ways to present China to Ukrainian people.This article is divided into five parts.In the first chapter introduction,the research problems,ideas and methods of this article,as well as the basis for sample selection are introduced.The second chapter introduces the development and status of Ukrainian media,the basic situation of Ukrainian independent media platform and Hromadske TV,Basic situation of media platform and Ukrinform.The third chapter analyzes the Chinese-related reports of Hromadske TV and Ukrinform's official website in terms of the number and length of reports,sources of reports,and topics of reports.The fourth chapter analyzes the self-collected news of journalists from thetwo media.Chapter 5 is the research findings of this article.Based on the summary of the previous article,it analyzes the image of China in the reports of China involving Hromadske TV and Ukrinform's official website.This article believes that China presented by Hromadske TV is a modern,highly developed and promising country.Although international relations are difficult and the confrontation with the United States continues,it still strives to maintain its world leadership position;and Ukrinform official website the presented China is a powerful,economically and technologically developed country,and attracts the Ukrainian people with its rich cultural life.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.It briefly analyzes the reasons for the difference between the two media reports on China,and puts forward its own suggestions on how the Ukrainian media can cover Chinese news more comprehensively.
