With the progress of the society and the development of the times,people have gradually begun to demand higher levels of life.For example,from the perspective of gustation,people pursue gourmet foods;from the perspective of olfaction,people pursue a variety of perfumes;from the perspective of vision,people pursue increasingly high-definition TV series and movies,sophisticated variety shows and blockbusters;at last but not least,from the perspective of hearing,people pursue beautiful sounding music even require more about the sound quality of some electronic products.Sound is an indispensable element among human sensations and is an art derived from life.Especially in the field of music,it has been deeply studied as a discipline.At the same time,sound production technology and presentation technology have been continuously improved with the development of science and technology.This thesis takes compressor as the key research object,and analyzes their processing and application under different sound sources at the context of mixing and sound reinforcement.Compression,as one of the most important effects in dynamic range processors,is critical in mixing and sound reinforcement.If the mixer and tuner cannot control the dynamics of the sound within a reasonable range,it will be detrimental to the performance and the audience.It is even more impossible to consider the timbre and higher hearing requirements.In this thesis,objective data analysis would be combined with subjective auditory experience.Starting from the basic characteristics of compressors,through several different mixing works and live sound reinforcement I have participated in,I analyze how to use the compressors in different sound sources under different contexts,that is,how to adjust specific parameter settings to accommodate the pursing effects and standards,presenting a better sound composition.
