Large Studio 5.1 Channel Audio Sound Reinforcement System Design

Technical core of huge studio has accomplished the transition from analog signals to digital signals, and changed to high definition signals. However, most sound reinforcement systems are still constituted by two channels systems.In this paper, the author analyzes the sound field of huge studio and expounded the advantage and feasibility of using 5.1 multi-channel sound reinforcement. After qualitative analysis, the author compares the conventional 2.0 channel system with 5.1 channel system and accomplishes the design of 5.1 multi-channel system.It puts forward in this paper that how to design and accomplish the multi-channel surrounding sound reinforcement. In order to prepare the practical project design, the author calculates the sound reinforcement capacity in quantitative analysis and figure out the main power of the sound field. Then taking an example of a certain huge studio of a television station, the author explains the design of 5.1 multi-channel sound reinforcement system, and makes a conclusion about the design. Some difficulties such as sound feedback and sound image are introduced at last, which are accustomed to occur in sound reinforcement system. This paper is to deal with how to reduce the squeal and solve the disunity of the sound image after the analysis.Beginning with the introduction of the acoustic environment of the huge studio, the author analyzes the necessity and requirement of sound reinforcement's in chapter one and two. The author also introduces several basic concepts about acoustic power calculation, and gives some formula examples to explain how to estimate the electrical power of loudhailer in chapter three. Chapter four is about the necessity and feasibility of multichannel sound reinforcement, and the detailed analysis of how to realize 5.1 multi-channel sound reinforcement. Then taking an example of a certain huge studio of a television station, the author discourses upon the designs and applications of multi-channel sound reinforcement including acoustic fitment,the calculation of acoustic power, the lectotype of sets, the design of system flow, the overall arrangement of reproducers, etc. In chapter six, the author analyzes two important issues of engineering plan, which are sound feedback and sound image.
