With the development of optical fiber communication industry,the demand of related products in the market is soaring,which results in the need of greater production capacity of relevant manufacturers.However,the traditional optical fiber product inspection completely depends on the manual work.In order to meet the inspection accuracy at micron level,traditional inspection requires a large amount of manpower,and the inspection accuracy and inspection speed are often not up to the requirements of the industrial production.In recent years,thanks to the rapid development of computer hardware,the machine vision technology has been widely used and developed.In this paper,an optical fiber transceiver PCB target location inspection system based on template matching has been developed.The main works are as follows:1)A target location inspection system of optical fiber transceiver PCB board has been developed.The system functions include template edge extraction,target positioning,position deviation calculation and correction with stepper motor,etc.2)Aiming at the edge detection problem of optical fiber transceiver PCB images,an improved Canny edge detection algorithm based on edge point pre-filtering has been proposed.Analysis shows that this method can effectively avoid unnecessary calculation of gradient direction and significantly improve the edge detection speed of Canny algorithm.3)For the template matching problem of optical fiber transceiver PCB images,an adaptive threshold SSDA algorithm based on the traditional SSDA algorithm has been proposed.This method overcomes the difficulty of the threshold setting for the traditional SSDA algorithm,and improves the inspection accuracy of the target location.The developed system has been tested in the actual industrial production scenarios.The test result shows that the system's inspection efficiency has been greatly improved compared to the manual inspection and the achieved inspection accuracy is satisfying.It has the value to be refined and popularized further.
