With the development of the global satellite navigation and positioning system,the demand for dual band and wide beam antenna is increasing day by day.In this paper,the terminal antenna with dual-band and wide beam-width are research.Firstly,the research background and significance of global satellite navigation and positioning system are introduced,and the current situation of multi-frequency and wide beam-width microstrip antenna is summarized.Then,the principle,mode theory and analysis methods of circular and annular ring patch antennas are introduced briefly.Meanwhile,the realization techniques and measurement method of circularly polarized antenna are also summarized.In this paper,the design of dual-band and wide-beam circular polarization antenna of GPS and Beidou system is studied.The nesting,loading structures are used to design several navigation terminal circular polarized antenna,the main work is displayed as follows:Firstly,a single-layer proximity-fed square ring antenna circularly polarized microstrip antenna is proposed,which covers the GPS L1/L2 band and achieves a small frequency ratio of f _h/f_l-1.283.Secondly,two dual-band single-layer microstrip antennas are designed for Beidou application.The two antennas have normal radiation and omni-directional radiation respectively,which could provide high gain at low elevation.Then,wide beam microstrip antenna with monopole loading and refectory ring loading are analyzed.The working mechanism of beam broadening is analyzed by using simulation analysis,physical verification and theoretical derivation.Finally,a dual-band wide beam-width dual-refectory-ring loaded antenna is designed for GPS L1/L2 band.The half-power beam width can reach more than 120° and measurement verification is given.
