Quality Evaluation And Optimization Study On Category In Collaborative Construction Of Knowledge Community

Knowledge community has gradually become a significant platform for users to create,share and acquire knowledge.It works with any aspecets of people's lives.However,with the prosperity of knowledge community,the problem of “information explosion” has arisen,that is,“rich data and poor information”.Information explosion requires platform to take a valid means to manage resouces in knowledge community,but internet information classification,derived from the traditional library classification,is insufficient in new information environment.Therefore,in order to improve services and boost efficiency of information organization in knowledge community,platform encourages users to participate the construction of categories,such as labes of Douban and topic categories of Zhihu.Actually,categories in collaborative construction are a typical representative of the user involvement.One important upside of these categories is that they reflect users' concerns and information needs.But there are downsides,such as the names of category are arbitrary,lack of strict vocabulary control;the structure of category is disordered,lack of logic,etc.All of these problems give rise to inconvenience of users.Therefore,this paper conducts explorations on how to evaluate and optimize the categories in collaborative construction of knowledge community.The following contents are studied:This paper firstly studied theoretical basis related to this research,such as knowledge community,categories in collaborative construction of knowledge community,evaluation and optimization of categories in knowledge community.Then,referring to the researches before,this paper built a quality evaluation index system of categories in knowledge community,selected Zhihu as the research object,extracted three integrated categories of Zhihu(Physics,History,Literature),a total of 15,716,and found the main problems about categories in Zhihu.After that,this paper continued to explore the factors which have effects on quality of categories.For this purpose,this study took DEMATEL model,designed expert questionnaire,and invited people who had participated collaborative construction of categories,to grade factors.In the end,it was concluded that the key factor s includes: synergy mechanism,participation motivation,ease of use,availability,usefulness,and communication.Finally,on the basis of above studies,this paper proposed optimization suggestions for categories of knowledge community.
