APTEEN routing protocol is a typical clustering routing protocol.It can periodically collect data in the monitoring area and quickly respond to emergencies.However,the APTEEN routing protocol still has the problems of low node energy utilization and insufficient network energy consumption.Based on the in-depth study of the APTEEN routing protocol,this paper proposes two APTEEN routing optimization algorithms through the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm.Aiming at the problem that particles converge slowly and easily fall into local optimality,the dynamic classification adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm(DCA-PSO)is proposed in this paper.In the optimization process,the algorithm adopts inertial weights that are classified and adaptively changed in different states,and uses dynamic learning factors to improve the effect of particle own experience and other particle experience on the convergence rate.The simulation results show that the DCA-PSO algorithm can significantly improve the search speed and accuracy compared with the PSO algorithm.Aiming at the problem of fast network energy consumption caused by random cluster head selection of APTEEN routing protocol,this paper using DCA-PSO algorithm,an APTEEN routing protocol based on energy position equalization(EPE-APTEEN)is proposed.When cluster forming,the EPE-APTEEN routing protocol uses the DCA-PSO algorithm to select cluster head nodes by considering the optimal number of cluster heads in the network,the residual energy of nodes,the location of nodes and the energy distribution around nodes,so as to reduce the data transmission distance and reduce the network energy consumption.It can be seen from the simulation results that compared with the APTEEN routing protocol,the EPE-APTEEN protocol can effectively extend the network life cycle by 78%.Aiming the cluster head near the sink node consumes too much energy due to the excessive forwarding data,a regional double-cluster-head APTEEN routing protocol(ADCH-EPE-APTEEN)is proposed which sets the front area region in the upper half of the wireless sensor network,and using DCA-PSO algorithm to select assistant cluster head in front area region.The sensor nodes in the front cluster area close to the sink node send their information directly to the sink node,and the sensor nodes in the front cluster area far away from the sink node forward their information to the sink node through the assistant cluster head,so as to reduce the burden of data forwarding of the main cluster head.Simulation results show that compared to the EPE-APTEEN the ADCH-EPE-APTEEN protocol can effectively extend the network life cycle by 38% and balance the network energy consumption.
