Editorial Study Of "Taiwan Min Pao" During The Japanese Occupation(1920-1930)

Since,when the Treaty of Shimonoseki separated Taiwan from Japan,during the-year colonization process,the people of Taiwan have experienced armed and unarmed struggles and wrote a new chapter in the process of the anti-colonial movement.When Taiwanese students,led by Lin Xiantang,were concerned about the unfair treatment suffered by the Taiwanese colonies,they created a Taiwan People's Daily that inspired Taiwanese culture,rejuvenated fellow citizens,and sought Taiwan's happiness.This newspaper,as "the only speech organ of the Taiwanese people",played an important role in the ideological and cultural enlightenment of the Taiwanese people,the political autonomy movement,and the anti-economic predatory movement during the Japanese occupation.The history of blood and tears of the anti-colonial movement played an indelible role in the national liberation movement.Editorials,as a type of news commentary,are comments made by the newspaper's editorial department on major issues,and best represent the media's position,views,and opinions on major events and urgent issues.Therefore,this article selects the three stages of "Taiwan Min Pao"("Taiwan Youth","Taiwan" and "Taiwan Min Pao")editorials,a total of340 articles,through literature research method,text analysis method,"Taiwan Min Pao" The content,emotion,attitude,and language style of the editorial have been studied.One is to understand the Taiwan People 's Daily,to interpret it in depth based on the times,and to understand the role of the media in the national liberation movement from the anti-colonial struggle;The second is to gain a deep understanding of the living conditions of the Taiwanese people during the Japanese occupation and to appreciate the difficult process of national liberation of the Taiwanese people in the anti-colonial movement.According to the study author's conclusion,the newspaper has different emphasis on content and emotional attitudes at different stages.In terms of content,the "Taiwan Min Pao" experienced the ideological enlightenment of "Taiwan Youth",the political self-determination and autonomy of the "Taiwan" stage,and finally the diversified presentation of the final issue.The newspaper continued to mature.The stage of "Youth" is mainly "suggestion".The stage of "Taiwan" is still "suggestion",but the "criticism" has increased.At the third stage,"Taiwan Min Pao" appeared,and the emotional attitude was completely.It has become dominated by "criticism." As for the language form and style,the Taiwan People's Daily did not show particularly obvious stage characteristics.In terms of language form,it has gone from Japanese to Japanese vernacular,and strives to be accessible to the people of Taiwan in plain,plain language,and to inspire the people.In terms of language style,it has also changed from the initial impassioned enthusiasm to mild speech and provoked into it.
