With the development of global energy interconnection technology and thecontinuous improvement of intelligent technology requirements for power gridtransmission,the requirements for the development of power communicationnetwork are more clear: the use of broadband,the establishment of networkstructure,the promotion of IP technology,multiple business integration,etc.aregradually becoming a trend.This puts forward higher and higher requirements forthe power backbone transmission network,mainly involving the carrying capacityof the power grid,whether the access method of the power grid is flexible andwhether it can adapt to diversified business.Packet enhanced OTN(opticaltransport network)is a new technology which fits the power communicationnetwork well.OTN technology combines circuit switching and packet switchingwell,which can carry diversified services,provide flexible adjustment mode forcommunication grid,and adapt to the requirements of today's society fortelecommunication network.This paper consists of four parts.The first part introduces the currentsituation of OTN technology development and the corresponding national andindustrial standards.At the end of this part,it also describes the advantages andproblems of OTN.The second part: from a variety of angles,it examines the variousaspects of the existing communication technology and smart grid.It also involvesthe smart grid(power grid 2),the overall structure of the communication network,the necessity of OTN development and the advanced technology.The third part:detailed introduction of OTN technology mainly involved in a number oftechnologies including the real-time and reliability of the network,thedetermination of the weight of the business planning process,the analysis of thecharacteristics of the enhanced OTN carrying power services,and the routingplanning of the power backbone network of the enhanced OTN provide an effectivealgorithm based on power Algorithms for different needs of business.The fourthpart: analysis of several common,representative applications of OTN technologypower business examples and utilizing the principle of pipeline penetration,thepower business can be integrated into small-granularity business,and throughcertain guidance,the power business can be transferred into the backup pipelinefor transmission.This paper studies the main methods of OTN network path making in theactual business,and designs a technology that can make path making according tothe real-time and reliability requirements of power business;at the same time,itdevelops a method that can serve for switch pipeline routing planning,which ismainly based on the application characteristics and mapping characteristics in theimplementation process of power business.
