Frequency hopping communication technology can use different frequency hopping patterns or clocks,so that multiple frequency hopping communication systems work simultaneously in the same frequency band without interference with each other.Compared with traditional communication technologies,it can save spectrum resources and has the advantage of anti-interference.This makes the research of frequency hopping transmitters widely used in civil and military fields.High efficiency and high frequency hopping rate are the goals pursued by frequency hopping transmitters.The thesis designs a high-efficiency,high-speed power amplifier for frequency-hopping transmitters.The main work of the thesis is as follows:Firstly,the amplifier specifications are analyzed and the transmission link structure is designed.By analyzing the function and index requirements of the frequency hopping transmitter power amplifier,the transmission link structure is designed.Investigated the RF indicators of high-power switches,duplexers,circulators and other components,assisted in the analysis of harmonics,power and other indicators;analyzed amplifier gain,efficiency indicators and amplifier protection circuit design requirements,designed the power amplifier module chain,analyze the frequency hopping index and select the appropriate frequency hopping filter implementation.Secondly,the circuit design of the amplifier and filter module are completed.According to the structural diagram of the transmission link,the design and implementation of the power amplifier module circuit and the circuit design of the frequency hopping filter module are completed.Mainly include power chip selection and circuit design of power amplifier board,protection circuit design,amplifier link chip selection and link design,amplifier matching network design and frequency hopping filter module circuit chip selection and circuit design,and the performance is simulated by software after the matching of the amplifier.Thirdly,a physical test environment is built to test the key indicators of the frequency hopping filter module and the power amplifier module,and these test results are analyzed.In the frequency hopping module,the single tone frequency hopping rate of the filter bank was tested and it reaches 7.2us per hop.In the power amplifier module,under the pulse condition of 2us pulse width 10% duty cycle,the single tone output power of all frequency hopping points reaches 320 W,and the signal link gain is 43dB;When the output power of the power amplifier meets 288 W under pulse conditions of 57 us pulse width 10% duty cycle,the corresponding drain efficiency is above 54%.The above test results are compared with the demand indicators.In summary,this paper uses a combination of frequency hopping filter and power amplifier module to design a high-speed frequency-hopping power amplifier that is ready to be applied to the radio frequency end of the frequency-hopping transmitter.After actual testing and verification,the frequency-hopping power amplifier has the characteristics of high efficiency and fast frequency-hopping rate,which provides a certain design reference for the realization of efficient and high-speed frequency-hopping of frequencyhopping transmitters.
