In recent years,with the successful use of agile software development by companies such as Google and Alibaba,agile methodology has rapidly spread.In the software development department within M company,agile development has been proven to play a huge role in improving organizational performance,improving customer satisfaction,and improving profitability.With the agile transformation of Asset Management department of M company,how to apply agile under functional business environment becomes a topic worth studying.This paper describes the current status of agile transformation and how agile works in the Asia-Pacific region of M company's Asset Management department.It is aimed to explore the real reasons for the problem arose in the agile transformation and agile project management by analyzing the relevant theories and propose the reasonable solutions.According to the true situation,this paper focuses on the issue of organizational coordination in the process of transformation,inefficiency in the agile operations,and the collaboration across the cross-functional teams.It seeks specific solutions for agile transformation and agile operations from three aspects of organizational culture and strategy,employees and agile methodology.It's going to advance the agile process by proposing a unified organization,by building agile framework with organizational adaptability,and by establishing a healthy cross-functional collaboration ecosystem.The conclusions can be used as a fact-base case to deepen the studying of agile transformation and operations.The conclusions also provide a realistic reference case for agile transformation and agile operation in non-software development environment.
