In recent years,crossover integration has become the new norm of business activities in modern service industry.Through crossover integration,new businesses are being developed,users can enjoy high-quality,novel and convenient services.At the same time,crossover business integration also has a major influence on the stability of the organization of enterprises.In order to adapt to the adjustment of businesses,the organizational architecture is constantly being adjusted and optimized as well.Business process,as the carrier of business expression and implementation,is required to have stronger adaptability,in order to help speed up the deep integration of enterprises and organizations.Therefore,how to improve the adaptability of business processes has become a research hotspot in the field of business process management.At present,there has been some research on business process adaptation,most of which put forward corresponding business process adaptation methods from the perspective of business process models' changes,but lacking support for enterprise organizational architecture's change.To solve this problem,this paper focuses on business process adaptation technology that supports the change of organizational architecture.The main contents of this paper are as follow:(1)Construct an adaptive hierarchical business process model to support the change of organizational architecture.Based on the idea of reflection technology,this paper constructs a Process Adaptation Model(PAM)to support the change of organizational architecture,and realizes the two-way adaptation from organizational architecture to process instances.The model is mainly composed of cause-and-effect meta-layer and basic-layer.Meta-layer includes architecture layer,task layer and process model layer,while basic-layer consists of process instance layer.They are closely linked and cooperate with each other,which is the key to realizing the process adaptation.At the same time,the types of organizational change and process change are analyzed and summarized,with the transferring mode of change among different layers in PAM model given,which provides intermediate results for the analysis process.It not only better describes the changes at different abstract levels,but also illustrates the reflection mechanism and operation logic of PAM.(2)Propose business process adaptation technology based on change impact domain.On the foundation of the PAM model,this paper proposes the concept of change impact domain.Firstly,the mapping relationship of different layer elements in the PAM model is analyzed by impact link analysis methods.Then,an impact domain detection algorithm is designed according to the change of process model and that of organizational architecture to detect the impact domain of changes in different layers of PAM model under various change conditions.At the same time,a process instance migration algorithm is proposed based on the change impact domain.This algorithm is built on the change impact domain of the process model and the corresponding execution link to find the best instance migration node.By judging the current status of the instance,the process instance can be rolled back to an unaffected task node,or the instance data can be migrated to a new process model to realize the process adaptation function of supporting the change of organizational architecture.(3)Design and implement an adaptive business process engine supporting the change of organizational architecture.Firstly,the systematic architecture of the existing Flowable workflow engine and the inadequacy of supporting the change of organizational structure are illustrated.Then,based on the Flowable engine,the business process engine adaptiveBE is redeveloped,which supports the change of organizational architecture,and focuses on the three functions of the engine:the management module of organizational structure,the customization module of process application and the migration module of process instances.Finally,in the adaptiveBE engine,we implement the relevant technologies and models involved in this paper.
