With the continuous progress of 3D printing technology,the color model is attracting more and more attention because of its clearer expression,better ornamental quality,and no followup processing.In this case,color 3D Printing has become a common demand of consumers.However,as a standard file format used for model description in the 3D Printing field,STL files do not support the preservation of the original 3D model color information.In order to realize the color 3D Printing,it is necessary to select an appropriate 3D model file format that supports the expression of the color information,and do further processing.As the key link to connect the original color 3D model with the actual printing operation,color slicing software needs to process the color model files and get the complete layered contour information.According to the specific requirements of color slicing,this paper selects OBJ model as the data interface.It introduces the organization form and color information description method of OBJ files,extracts the file information,and optimizes it for slicing.In the following slicing process,on the basis of realizing color slicing,this paper combines the specific characteristics of OBJ models,attempts to improve the traditional topology slicing algorithm,proposes the optimization scheme of slicing algorithm based on the continuity of the model,and makes comparative experiments and analysis.In this study,Visual Studio 2013 is used as the development platform of color slicing software,and functions are realized and integrated under the framework of MFC,and the color 3D model is visualized by OpenGL,which improves the function of the software system.The developed color slicing software has successfully realized the model display and color slicing of various OBJ models,and optimized the redundant information of the obtained layered color contour data,which has achieved good results in application.In addition,this paper analyzes some related problems found in research and development,and clarifies the direction of further research in this field.
