This thesis addresses software design and implementation for Hui Yuan company's electrical monitoring management system for its electric power production process. This system is the information management platform built for the electrical equipment operation monitoring management for small power enterprise, with the central purpose of assuring the enterprise's economic efficiency and operation reliability in electric power production under the constraint of resource availability and cost in the enterprise. The thesis presents the system development work based on the scientific concepts, methodologies and techniques in software engineering. At first the requirement analysis is established from the aspects of general requirements and user specific requirements with necessary use-case models,in particular the functions of basic information management, operation information monitoring, alarm management, defects and inspection information management are discussed. In the following the software system design is discussed from the aspects of software architecture, database scheme and submodule design, with details on the main internal data structures and interfaces.Typical design examples are presented with the aid of procedure flow diagrams and relational data tables. On basis of the above works the program implementation and testing works are also sketched. This software system is developed based on object oriented theory and method. It is programmed with C# and integrates SQL Server as its database. The system global architecture is browser/server mode. This system already passed its initial trial and showed its ability to meet the development objectives of raising the accuracy and reliability in electric power production process for the company.
