The array antenna is an antenna composed of multiple antenna elements working at the same frequency.When the array antenna has an error and cannot work normally,it will affect the operation of the entire communication system.In order to ensure the reliability of the array antenna application,it must be accurately find out the specific cause and location of errors in the array antenna,and correct the errors in the array antenna.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the array antenna error correction method.This article first focused on the common error phenomena of the three array antennas,such as the amplitude and phase errors of the array channels,the position errors between the array elements and the mutual coupling errors between the array elements,and the methods of establishing these three array error models.On this basis,the array error parameter correction methods,namely active correction and self-correction,are compared,and the application of genetic algorithm and firefly algorithm two population optimization algorithms in array error correction is analyzed.Secondly,the paper discusses the low side lobe technique of array pattern.Starting with the simple and easy-to-implement window function low side lobe technology,then comparatively analyzing the traditional pattern synthesis low side lobe technology,and finally introducing the engineering application process of array antenna low side lobe beam pattern formation.Among them,we focus on the two low-side lobe techniques of the window function of Blakman weighting and the cosine mth power weighting,and the two low side lobe techniques of the Chebyshev synthesis method and the Taylor synthesis method.By comparing the main beam parameters of the array pattern to determine the effect of low side lobe,comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of several array pattern low side lobe techniques.Finally,based on the particle swarm optimization algorithm,a new array antenna error correction method is proposed,combined with the above-mentioned array pattern low side lobe technology,to achieve array antenna low side lobe beamforming.The traditional particle swarm algorithm has the advantages of simple concept,high accuracy and easy implementation,but it also has the defect of being easily trapped in the local optimal.This defect makes the application of particle swarm algorithm greatly restricted,such as applying the particle swarm algorithm in the error correction of the array antenna,the effect of the obtained correction beam pattern is not obvious and unstable.In view of this shortcoming of particle swarm optimization,this paper proposes an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm with local optimization.This new algorithm has the characteristics of avoiding premature convergence and accelerating the convergence speed.The locally optimized particle swarm optimization algorithm is applied to the error correction of the array antenna.Simulation results show that this algorithm can effectively correct the error of the array antenna.Combined with the low side lobe technology of the array pattern,the array antenna can be low side lobe beamforming.
