Legitimacy is an important prerequisite for the survival and development of an organization.with the application of Internet,big data,cloud computing and other information technology,a large number of new platform enterprises have been born.How to improve and obtain legitimacy has become the primary problem that these new platform enterprises need to face.The existing theory tells us that new platform enterprises can obtain the necessary legitimacy for enterprise survival through institutional entrepreneurship,but the existing research has not paid attention to institutional entrepreneurship strategies of new platform enterprises under the network environment.Therefore,in the network environment,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to clarify how the institutional entrepreneurial strategies of the new platform enterprise system affects its legitimacy.First of all,this paper summarizes the practice and theoretical background of the research,on the basis of systematically combing and introducing the institutional entrepreneurship theory,legitimacy theory and related research progress,and combined with the realistic background of the network environment,the research question is transformed into discussing what is the institutional entrepreneurship strategies of the new platform enterprises and its relationship with the judgment of legitimacy.Then,through the case study of Xiaomi Company(sub-study 1),answer the first research question,and build an empirical analysis model for sub-study 2.On the basis of the case study,this paper designs and develops the measurement scale of the institutional entrepreneurship strategies of new platform enterprises,and tests the reliability and validity of the scale.Finally,using the questionnaire survey method,relying on 317 valid questionnaires of Xiaomi users,using statistical analysis software for factor analysis,regression analysis and structural equation model and other analysis methods.The analysis results strongly support the research hypothesis of this paper and verify the theoretical model proposed in the text.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)under the network environment,the institutional entrepreneurship strategies commonly used by new platform enterprises include “common understanding of arrangement”,“subversive design”,“increasing credibility”,and “emotional mobilization”;(2)the effect of the existing institutional entrepreneurship strategy on legitimacy judgment and illegality judgment is limited;(3)the newly emerging platform enterprise system entrepreneurship strategy has a positive impact on legitimacy judgment and a negative impact on illegality judgment.In a word,at the theoretical level,the research conclusions help to promote the relevant viewpoints of institutional entrepreneurship to multiply and deepen the new platform enterprises under the network environment,and can enrich the theoretical accumulation and interpretation situation of institutional entrepreneurship.and to a certain extent draw academic attention to the impact of illegal judgment.On the practical level,it is of practical significance for new platform enterprises to design institutional entrepreneurship strategies and break through the legitimacy threshold under the network environment.
