The purpose of this article is to explore how the agenda of American think tanks affect the media,and government during the emergence,proliferation,and entry of the China-U.S.trade war agenda.This article focuses on exploring how American think tanks build their agendas and what role the fermentation period of the trade war played from a quantitative and qualitative perspective.This article divides the changes in the number of media reports and issues during the fermentation period of the China-U.S.trade war into five periods:(1)think tank experts media voiced the possibility of a China-U.S.trade war;(2)Trump took office after he took office(3)China-U.S.senior leaders shout and communicate on trade issues;(4)the United States U.S.es the trade war as a bargaining chip with China over the North Korean missile crisis;(5)the United States announces that it will conduct about 60 billion U.S.dollars of goods imported from China Taxation officially puts the trade war on the agenda.In these five periods.This article uses he method of semantic network analysis to extract the issues of think tank reports,media reports,and government documents,combined with text analysis to study the similarities and interaction mechanisms of the three text issues,and finally reviewed the three,especially the United States.The process of agenda construction in think tanks.In the end,it can be concluded that the role of American think tanks in the fermentation period of the China-U.S.trade war was a think tank in the early stages of government policy formulation,a public relations expert who implemented policies in the political and business circles,and a mediator of media opinion.Think tank experts participate in government and media agenda construction in a variety of ways: reports,media outlets,and revolving doors to participate in policy making are all ways they influence the agenda.
