Research On Workflow Management System Supporting Time Resource Constraints

The workflow technique has been a hot issue in computer application for many years,and the utilizing and handling of the time and resource information in business process is a hot branch of workflow research field.There are many existing theory research around this issue.However,in the production fields,the mainstream workflow engines and softwares on the market are lack of the handling of time information in workflow.The workflow management systems are lacking of time and resource constraints modeling,its relevant functions and tools are incomplete either.Regarding the issues above,this article elaborates and extends the modeling,analyzing and handling of time and resource constraints in workflow management system.Researching and developing a workflow manage system named TRFlow supports time resource constraints.Firstly,BPMN is extended to process modeling language with temporal properties.Basing on the meta-model of BPMN2.0,we extend temporal constraint and temporal dependency those two kinds of time constraints among business processes into BPMN modeling language.Concurrently,we analyze and extend the open source workflow designer"BPMN.js" which follows BPMN standard.The "Extended-BPMN.js" has the ability to define the time and resource constraints in workflow,providing the workflow management system a workflow designer which supports time and resource modeling.Combining with the existing research,we propose a directed graph model named R/NT_WF_G which used to calculate and analyze the time properties in Resource/Non-determined Time Workflow.Providing the method foundation of the time handling and monitoring in workflow management system.Basing on the above research,we illustrate the system's overall and detailed designation,use Django framework and integrate the open source workflow engine Viewflow to develop the TRFlow workflow management system which supports time resource constraints.Finally,using the company aboard examination as an example process,listing the system functions and implementing interfaces.Elaborating the TRFlow's features and innovativeness by comparing with other mainstream workflow productions.
