With the rapid development of science and technology,the development of radar is very rapid.Considering the changing of international situation and the complex battlefield environment,the traditional evaluation of radar performance means-get experimental data by attack,not only cost a lot of experimental cost,but also unable to accurately simulate the complex battlefield environment,has been eliminated by times,instead of the radar target simulator is safe and effective.The role of radar target simulator is to simulate target and environment information,such as target position,speed,distance,azimuth and other characteristics.During the experiment,researchers can set input parameters of different environments of the simulator through human-computer interaction page to simulate the changeable environment of complex battlefield.At the same time,the system design of multichannel radar target simulator,which can be used to design broadband interference.If it is the enemy investigation target,when the other side of radar signal detection,our radar signal simulator to receive the signal,and return after jamming signal,can have the effect of disturbing other radar.The application of radar target simulator greatly shortens the development period of radar and reduces the possible risks in the process of scientific research.This design mainly includes the following work:Firstly,the research background and value of radar target simulator,the development status at home and abroad,and the system composition,working principle and working mode of radar target simulator are introduced.The target simulation methods,such as point target echo simulation,range simulation,velocity simulation,amplitude simulation and azimuth simulation,are briefly introduced.Then several key technologies of signal processing are studied,such as digital down-conversion,up-conversion,doppler modulation,DIFM frequency measurement technology,inverse compensation filter and so on.This paper also introduces the high speed data transmission ATCA bus standard technology and its advantages.Secondly,the overall scheme design of the multi-channel radar target simulator mainly includes baseband processing system,frequency conversion system,frequency measurement system,optical fiber switching system,storage scheme,high-speed data transmission channel and computer software design.Taking Xilinx 7 series FPGA XC7V690 T as the core and vivado2016.4 as the logic design development platform,involves the filtering,frequency conversion and modulation algorithm units of data processing.The System Generator is used to generate the IP that vivado can call for algorithm implementation,and the key processing is simulated by matlab.The important components of the hardware platform,such as power module,clock module,analog data conversion digital signal ADC module,digital analog DAC module,data storage and playback module,are introduced in detail.Finally,logic design is carried out for each module in the system,including high-speed data transmission interface,instruction issuing and receiving interface,target characteristic simulation module,etc.The hardware verification test platform is built to test the system indexes and the test results are given.
