The mobile Internet has entered the era of the whole people.Not only can people conveniently obtain information in a timely manner,but they often find some interesting or useful information in the process of browsing information,which is called "information encountering".The mobile Internet has highly intensive information resources,supplemented by fragmented and hyper-linked information organization methods,also user's dependence on the mobile Internet is gradually increasing.All these greatly increase the frequency of users' information encountering.Information encountering have become an important way for people to obtain information and are of great significance to people's life practice:information encounters can provide people with new ideas for solving problems,restructure the knowledge structure,and promote knowledge innovation.However,because the frequency of receiving repeated and homogeneous non-valued information on the network is too high,it causes "pseudo-information encounters" to a certain extent,promotes the "information cocoon room" effect,and also causes users to have anxiety and trigger information circumvention.To explore the influencing factors and mechanism of mobile Internet users' information encounters is of great significance to improve the efficiency of information encountering and weaken the "information cocoon" effect,which is also the focus of this article.Through a review of previous papers on mobile information encounters,the author finds that most of the current literature directly links mobile information encounters with external factors,while ignoring the user's psychological changes and the mechanism of interaction between factors,while mobile information encountering is an information acquisition behavior transformed by an individual after receiving external stimuli through a certain psychological change.S-O-R theory proposes that individual behavior is the result of the effects of external stimuli.Many scholars have conducted research on users' information behavior based on SOR theory,proving its applicability to the study of information behavior.Therefore,this paper uses a new perspective "based on S-O-R theory" to study information encountering in the mobile Internet environment,establishes a model of influencing information encountering in mobile Internet,and introduces gender as a moderator to explore the differences between users of different genders in mobile encounters.Using the CIT to extract influencing factors,this article focuses on the impact of information factors(source reliability,information novelty,information similarity,information credibility)and environmental factors(subjective specifications,resource availability)on mobile information encounters and the mediating role of emotional response(positive emotion)and cognitive response(perceived usefulness).With reference to the maturity scale of other scholars,the author designed a questionnaire for this article,then distributed 452 questionnaires and 398 valid questionnaires to users who use the Internet more frequently.SPSS and AMOS software were used to analyze and model the data.Based on the data analysis result,the author draws conclusion that six factors,including source reliability,information novelty,information reliability,information similarity,subjective norms,and resource availability,positively affect mobile information encountering,and positive emotions and perceived usefulness play an intermediary role in them.The impact of two variables,subjective norms and source credibility,on mobile information encounters differs among users of different genders.This article not only researches the influencing factors of mobile information encounters from a new theoretical perspective,but also based on the conclusions of this article,puts forward suggestions for information service platforms,information publishers and receivers involved in mobile information encounters to improve the efficiency of users' information encountering,and reduce the "information cocoon"effect.
