With the advent of the 5G communication era,people have increased the research on channel coding.Among them,polarization codes as a novice in coding field,have attracted the attention of researchers.The polarization code can reach the Shannon limit in theory,and it is the only channel coding method that can reach the Shannon limit.In this paper,introduce the encoding method and decoding algorithm of polarization code.Propose an improved decoding algorithm using HARQ technology,and the main modules of polarization code decoding structure are designed and introduced.Firstly,introduce several basic channel types.Channel joint and channel splitting are introduced.The channel polarization phenomenon is explained in detail,and simulate the channel polarization phenomenon.The polarization phenomenon can be more clearly understood by the polarization channel index and the polarization channel number distribution.Secondly,the coding structure of the polarization code is introduced in detail,and the polarization code encoding structure is consistent with the configuration form of the polarization channel.An example of the polarization code encoding process of N=8 is explained in detail.Then introduce three common decoding algorithms,SC decoding algorithm,SCL decoding algorithm and CRC-SCL decoding algorithm,and perform MATLAB simulation analysis.Next,this paper proposes an improved polarization code decoding algorithm,which uses HARQ technology.After decoding at the receiving end,if it finds that it cannot pass the CRC check,it sends a retransmission signal to the originating end and retransmits some information bits.The second retransmission will reduce the coding efficiency,but can greatly improve the accuracy of decoding.On the MATLAB platform,simulations were performed for three aspects:different code lengths,different code rates,and comparisons with CRC-SCL.Through analysis,it can be seen that the improved algorithm is improved in decoding performance.Finally,in this paper,the improved algorithm is applied to the decoder and designs a polarization code decoder that adds feedback retransmission technology,adds feedback control module,bit selection module and decoding based on CRC-SCL decoding.The result memory does not significantly increase the hardware complexity.Finally,the waveform simulation is performed on the quartus software,and it can be seen that the designed decoder can work normally.
