With the rapid development of Chinese IC industry,IC testing technology has been rapidly improved throughout the whole process of IC production and application.With the development of integrated circuit in the direction of high integration,high complexity and high precision,the function and performance requirements of integrated circuit tester are continuously improved.As the control and communication center of the tester system,the control module of IC tester is the key problem to be solved,such as its communication efficiency,synchronization and stability of system working signal.Based on the project of hybrid integrated circuit tester,this paper describes the design of an integrated circuit tester control module,which realizes the data transmission,command issuing,system clock,trigger and calibration signal generation and distribution of the tester system.The main work contents are as follows:(1)The hardware circuit design of control module.The system control module is composed of control board and system base board,including communication unit,signal generation unit,power supply unit and auxiliary unit circuit.(2)The communication network design.The communication unit of the control module is one of its core functions,which is used to realize the data transmission from the external control computer to each test module.The external computer communicates with the control module through LAN interface;the data conversion of lan-pcie-system internal bus is realized within the control module;and each test module communicates with the control module through the system internal bus.The main work includes: data interaction design of LAN bus and PCIe bus,data interaction design of PCIe bus and system internal bus.(3)The design of unit of ignal generation.The signal generating unit provides the system with working clock,trigger,calibration and other signals.According to the design requirements of the whole machine system,the synchronization accuracy of working clock,trigger,calibration and other signals should be higher than 40 ps,and the jitter of the clock signal is less than 193.38 fs.Scheme demonstration,simulation and circuit verification are carried out.(4)The design of communication software between external control computer and control module.The control command is implemented by gRPC remote procedure call protocol and data transfer by FTP.The client software and server software are designed,and the control command and data transmission of the external control computer and control module are realized.Through research and design,completed the integrated circuit tester control module and server-side software design,to achieve high-speed transmission of large quantities of data,to provide work clock,trigger,calibration and other signals to meet the requirements of the system,the control module to meet the design requirements of the system.
