With the development of modern wireless communication technology,people have gradually moved from the research of antenna to the research of phased array system.The phased array system has been deeply developed and researched because of its fast scanning speed and flexible control of beam.The traditional microstrip phased array antenna is greatly restricted in scanning angle.Therefore,broadening the beam scanning range of phased array has become a hot and difficult point in research.Based on the study of the tensor impedance surface,guiding the surface wave propagation of tensor impedance surface is combined with phased array to realize wideband and wide angle phased array.The main research contents are as follows:The first chapter introduces the research background and significance of phased array antennas,as well as the overseas and domestic research status of phased array antenna.Then the content of the subsequent chapters is arranged.The second chapter introduces the working principle of one-dimensional and twodimensional phased array antennas,and also introduces the method of impedance tensor and the analysis of surface wave propagation modes.It provides a theoretical basis for subsequent content.The third chapter designs a mushroom-type tensor impedance surface,and uses the Yagi antenna as an exciter to achieve one-dimensional wide-angle scanning.Then a reconfigurable Yagi antenna is designed,and a tensor impedance surface combining rectangular structure and T-shaped is designed to realize one-dimensional wide-angle scanning.The first wide-angle scanning phased array can achieve a main beam direction from-73° to +73°,the gain is 10.7dBi at the maximum angle of scanning.The second wide-angle scanning phased array can realize the main beam scanning from-85° to +86°,and the gain is 11 dBi at the scanning beam reaches +86°.The gain flatness above two antennas is within 3dB during scanning,and the side lobes are always lower than-10 dB during the scan.The fourth chapter designs a broadband dipole antenna,which uses a tensor impedance surface that is slotted on a square patch to form a 1×8 phased array to achieve the characteristics of wide bandwidth angle.The phased array antenna has a relative bandwidth of 13%,enabling the main beam scanning from-81°to 81° in the half-air field.After the processing of test,the active unit pattern of the array was tested,and the results were similar to the simulation,the scanning characteristics of the wide bandwidth angle were verified.The fifth chapter summarizes the work of this paper.It illustrates the shortcomings of the current work,and discusses the improvement of the work and the subsequent development direction.
