The radiation characteristic of traditional array antenna is fixed,but if every unit is added phase shifter and other devices,the radiation beam direction of array antenna can be controlled by phase shifter,which can realize the scanning of antenna beam in space.We call such an antenna as a phased array antenna.Phased array antenna has been widely used in national defense radar,satellite communication and future base station.With the full deployment of 5G in the future,phased array beam control technology will have a wider application and development space in the field of wireless communication.Therefore,on the basis of the existing phased array technology,we should have updated and better technology to study the wideband and wide-angle scanning characteristics of phased array antenna.Based on phased array technology,a double-layer microstrip antenna loaded with metal cavity is studied and designed in this paper.The circular polarization is realized by single feed slot,and the antenna beam width is broadened by metal loading,and the antenna has wide frequency band.Wide beam,low profile and other characteristics.On this basis,24 elements are arranged according to the water droplet form to form a rotating feed phased array to reduce the wind resistance and improve the axial ratio performance of the phased array.A 1-24 space rotating microstrip power divider with a spatial rotation structure and a very low profile is designed based on the layout of the 24 element phased array unit.The measured power divider has good transmission performance in the working frequency band,the isolation of each output port is high,and the overall performance is good.Finally,the designed water drop streamline array antenna and feed network are assembled,calibrated and tested.The test results show that the phased array antenna designed in this paper has good impedance matching performance in the frequency band,wide beam scanning angle domain.The realized gain of the array is declined about 4.5d B when the scanning angle is approaching 65°,which can meet the characteristics of wide band and wide angle scanning.At the same time,the structure of the whole antenna is compact and compact,solid and stable,and the whole weight is lighter.According to the test results of 24-element passive phased array,the overall scheme of 16-element active phased array is designed.Compared with the passive phased array,the number of the array elements and the aperture area are reduced,and the G / T value of the whole antenna system is improved.At the same time,a 1-16 compact microstrip power divider is designed,which has good transmission performance in the working band.The designed microstrip Duplexer has a high out-of-band isolation over 50 d B,and both the reflection coefficient and insertion loss can meet the requirements.
