In recent years,the industry of radio and television has been impacted by IPTV and OTT products dramatically.The number of CATV users t o both provincial level and municipal level have declined significantly.As the exclusive network operator,Beijing Gehua CATV Network Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as "BGCTV")is responsible for the construction,development,management and maintena nce of Cable Radio and Television Networks in Beijing.BGCTV had established many independent IT systems which formed information islands.Front-line personnel cannot quickly respond to customer requirements due to lack of data support.Therefore,it is vital to integrate every information island and construct a grid-based system,which can support both marketing operating and maintenance work subsystems.The functions of this grid will benefit to all working staff in the area of operating,marketing,customer maintenance,performance appraisal,task allocation and report management.It aims to improve service ability,achieve precision marketing,and stimulate the enthusiasm of front-line personnel through Key Performance Indicators,so as to enhance the stickiness of existing users and attract potential users.This paper introduced a complete framework of BGCTV Grid Operating Marketing and Maintenance Support System(GOMMSS).It started from investigating the problems of inefficient supports for operating marketing and decentralization of maintenance ability.Then the GOMMSS was established through the following steps including top-level design,demand analysis,process reengineering,framework design,user interface design,software developing and testing to engage an innovative Customer Resources Management Grid for sharing and integrating the existing resources.The main contributions of this paper list as follows:(1)Coped with the fierce competitive environment of BGCTV,analyzed the business specifications of GOMMSS,and brought forward a novel business process reengineering(BPR)plan to its core business process.(2)Designed the architecture of GOMMSS with SSH framework to integrate the internal presentation layer,working platform layer,business componen t layer,functional component layer,data layer and external system through loose coupling interaction.(3)Applying J2 EE development technology and XML data interaction format to achieve loose coupling interaction with external business systems and data,to b etter solve non-real-time,large volume of data,system incompatibility and other problems.At the same time,mining and analysis are carried out on the relevant data in the support of GOMMSS,so as to further promote and optimize the work of grid operation and maintenance.Currently,the achievement software of this paper had been evaluated by more than 3000 front-line personnel in Beijing,and got a significant positive feedback of the quality and efficiency of operating marketing and maintenance services.Compared with former IT infrastructure,it improves the efficiency of original data integration and analysis work from 26 hours to 10 minutes,which increases the processing time of single business by 3-20 times,and the service quality and efficiency of marketing and maintenance has been significantly improved,which take BGCTV as the leader of the ability of grid operation and integrated maintenance in China.
