With the increasing development of Internet of Everything,mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs are widely applied to connect users and information networks.But mobile devices cannot provide powerful computing and storage resources for applications caused by constrained size and power consumption,in spite of having great convenience and mobility support.Hence,mobile cloud computing is proposed to cope with the resource constraint of mobile devices.However,as a vast number of new applications emerge,centralized mobile cloud computing cannot meet the strict requirements of users in terms of end-to-end delay,service response and user experience.This is because that mobile cloud computing gives rise to limited bandwidth resources and large network latency for users.To address the issue,researchers pay attention to edge computing for providing lightweight but ubiquitous computing and storage resources in proximity of users.In edge computing,service providers directly deploy applications with intensive computation and low latency requirements to edge servers around users for prompting responding to process service requests.This dissertation aims to develop application software on mobile client side for edge computing based services.The software system is applied to a scenario of intelligent transportation passenger transport.Overall software system mainly consists of smart mobile device,WeChat server,vehicular edge equipment and cloud server.More specifically,mobile client based on WeChat public account is the primary component for users.Thus,software system is able to provide multimedia applications and information services to users via the WeChat platform.Vehicular edge equipment is installed to transportation buses,including an edge server and local router.Software system deploys enriched applications and multimedia content in the edge server,to serve proximal end users through Wi-Fi connectivity with great rapidness and high efficiency.First,preliminary market research is executed to fully excavate user demand in the passenger transport.Then the overall architecture of the mobile client-side application software system is designed for edge computing based services.Second,LNMP and Workerman frameworks are used to complete the edge server construction,which is thebasic foundation for facilitating information interactions and network communications in the “device-edge-cloud” mode.At the same time,WeChat client application software is developed by using ThinkPHP development framework based on the MVC pattern and jQuery WeUI front-end component library.The WeChat client application software includes main functionalities such as Wi-Fi access,media news,video resources,and location based information services.Users can access to other modules through the Wi-Fi LAN.Finally,test and analysis are conducted to evaluate the performance of the application software system.Functional optimization of personalized service and performance optimization of mobile H5 front-end are also accomplished.To summarize,the mobile client-side application software system satisfies the future trend of the network development,meets the high-efficiency requirements for new applications in quality-of-service,and promote the technology and industrial development of the "Internet +" era.
