Study On IP Operation Strategies Of Trade Book In US

As an important part of the American book market,more and more trade books have been adapted into cultural products in various media formats such as movies and games.Bringing huge copyright appreciation space to the publishing industry.This paper attempts to study the US public book IP operation strategy,in order to provide experience reference for the development and operation of book IP in China.Trade books are at the forefront of the industrial value chain.After analysis,the IP derivative forms include audio books,movies,games,theme parks and other derivatives.The IP ecosystem formed by these derivatives can bring rich copyright benefits to books.In the United States,relatively complete copyright protection policies,increasingly rich book content,and the rise of self-publishing models in social media environments have created opportunities for the development of trade book IP.The grand world constructed by cross-media narrative mobilizes the enthusiasm of the audience and enhances the audience's experience.Operators are also good at using social media to create momentum for book IP,and are familiar with the strategic skills of “users are readers” “social is operational” and“word of mouth is IP”.In addition,the existence of a series of books and film sequel models enhances the vitality and activity of book IP,and does not make IP a short-lived commodity.In this paper,the literature analysis method,the case analysis method and other research methods are adopted,and several strategies for the IP operation of the US public books are extracted through analysis and demonstration.Taking this as a guide,combined with China's current policy environment and the status of IP operation of books,we believe that China should start from improving copyright policy,expanding IP development field,stabilizing derivative market,shaping industry brand,etc,and discovering more high-quality IP.The ecologicalization of the field of book derivation.
