With the rapid development of modern society and increasingly fierce market competition,companies must constantly update their products and improve product quality to meet the growing needs of customers.In the context of rising product innovation costs,most companies choose to invest their resources in upgrading old products,and achieve diversified product development through the upgrading of multiple generations products in order to enhance brand competitiveness.As a new type of product innovation,product upgrade has gradually become a research hotspot in enterprises and academia.Design of product quality level is an important stage in the development of new products.At present,there is little literature to study it.Therefore,based on the quality level of product upgrade,this paper focuses on the determination and design of new product quality level.The main works are as follows:(1)Research on how to determine the optimal quality level for product updates.Define relevant concepts such as quality level,quality utility and product update rate.Propose a three-levels model of product update including part structure,function and performance.Propose a kind of measure about product update degree.Construct two types of sales models for new and old products.Determine the optimal quality level value by solving two models.(2)Research on how to identify the key needs of multiple customers.Construct the customer classification model to divide the hybrid customers into four types with different characteristics.Based on the gray system theory,customers are given the difference fuzzy number as the evaluation operator to reduce the data distortion caused by customer heterogeneity.The fuzzy clustering method is used to divide the original needs into the KANO model.Rough level analysis method is used to determine the importance of the needs,and the customer need hierarchy is obtained.(3)Research on how to systematically establish a design program of product quality level.Establish a QFD model for product update.Transform customer needs into key design features and conflicting features.Use TRIZ tools to eliminate feature conflicts.Use FMEA tools to analyze the potential failure modes and causes.Propose a complete product update/QFD/TRIZ/FEMA model and implementation process.(4)Research on how to evaluate product design programs.Establish a design evaluation system for evanescent electronic products,including 16 general evaluation attributes,evaluation groups composed of product experts,program designers and experienced customers,and fuzzy evaluation language with advantages and non-advantages.The SIR method is used to process the evaluation data to obtain an optimal design.The effectiveness of the proposed method and model are verified through the case application.This paper establishes a systematic theoretical model and implementation process for the determination and design of product quality level.The case shows that the proposed method model can be used to solve the actual product update decision problem.The paper has 45 pictures,45 tables,and 97 references.
