In recent years,wireless communication technology develops rapidly,and mobile communication technology has gradually shifted from 4G to 5G,which makes highreliability and high-efficiency communication system become a hot research topic at home and abroad.As the core device of the transmitter,the output power of the RF power amplifier,the efficiency,and the linearity will directly determine the performance and application of the entire communication system.Therefore,how to balance efficiency and linearity as much as possible in the required frequency range and output power has become the focus of RF power amplifier research.This paper aims to design a high-output power,high gain,high efficiency,high linearity,good standing wave ratio,good stability,miniaturized RF power amplifier.In order to achieve this goal,load-pull technology and other key microwave technology are applied.The content of the paper mainly covers the following aspects:1.According to the past development process and the present status of research at home and abroad,the power amplifier is introduced in detail to illustrate the research background and significance of this design.2.The basic theory of power amplifier is discussed and analyzed.The technical parameters,types and related design theories of the power amplifier are introduced.3.The design of the impedance matching network is mainly discussed,including the composition,advantages,disadvantages and design methods of L-type matching network,?-type matching network and multi-level matching network.4.The RF power amplifier is designed,simulated and optimized by RF simulation software ADS,including stability analysis,source load traction,input and output matching circuit construction,bias circuit design,and layout optimization simulation.Then,with the Auto CAD software,the processing drawings are drawn,and then the physical processing is completed.Finally,DC regulated source,signal source,spectrum analyzer,and other instruments are used to repeatedly test and debug the physical objects,and the collected test data is processed and analyzed until the test results meet the design requirements.5.The C-band transmitter module is analyzed and designed,including the design of the RF power amplifier,the design of the 7th-order hairpin band-pass filter,the design of the 4th-order hairpin band-pass filter,the design of the band-stop filter and the design of the microstrip directional coupler.6.The work was analyzed and summarized.
