As to the special society character of ancient China,it is not easy to read for the ancient women,not to mention they can become collectors and take a position in the history.However,it is undeniable that such a special female group has made important contributions to the collections of books in China,and this has become unique phenomenon in history of collections with their outstanding knowledge,talents,perseverance,uniqufemale perspective and their passion for the collection culture.However,due to the social nature of ancient China,the study of collectors of contemporary scholars focused of the traditional male perspective,but little attention was paid to the study female collections and their contribution.I have a strong interest in this topic since the first contact with such documents and have conducted research on the topic and finally form this paper based on the research results of the predecessors and my date collections.This paper can be divided in to five chapters.The first chapter is mainly as review based on the biographies,the records in the collection of books and the characteristics collections of female collectors.The second to fifth chapters are written according to dynasty with the Shangguan waner,Li Qingzhao and Liu Rushi as representatives in the Tang Dynasty,Song Dynasty and Ming Dynasty.Their life and collection experience are systematically discussed and more contemporary contemporaries are presented.The fifth chapter complementary and summery for former chapters,the emphasis is on the important contributions of female book collectors in the history of collections and cultural heritage.
