Analysis Of WDM Networking And Protection In Local Network

In recent years,as the city communications traffic by the rapid increase,particularly in the computer data communications and Internet services and multimedia services of the rise of a series of new,high capacity,high-performance surge in demand for network transmission.Dense Wave Division Multiplexing(DWDM)as the most effective and economic means,to fully meet the current demand for business development of broadband networks,as well as to the future all-optical transmission network has laid a good foundation.WDM applications in the local network is not only a technical extension of the urgent need for more realistic.In this paper,the characteristics of metropolitan transport networks,metro environment,described the requirements and characteristics of the WDM.Then,from the networking strategy,networking mode,the node configuration discussed three aspects of the metro WDM networking technology;In addition,the article focuses on research and discussion of the WDM network of conservation,business layer and optical layer protection are both done analysis.Business layer protection approach is the use of carrying signals in the WDM network service capabilities to achieve their own self-healing network protection and restoration.When carrying business in the WDM layer device can not achieve self-healing protection,directly in the WDM network to achieve protection in the WDM system,called the optical layer protection based.Finally,the article introduces ZTE metro WDM system ZXMP M800 protection means and compare the business layer and optical layer protection under different networking mode.
