Voltage controlled oscillator?VCO?is the key component of radio frequency receiver in the wireless communication system.It is an important function module of clock recovery,phase locked loop?PLL?and frequency synthesizer.It is in the electronic system of mobile phone,military communication system,satellite communication terminal and so on.It has a wide range of applications.In recent years,in the study of wireless transceivers in academia and industry,full integrated inductance and capacitance voltage controlled oscillator?LC-VCO?has become one of the most concerned radio frequency unit circuits.Because SOI CMOS technology provides more and better symmetrical devices,so this topic design of LC-VCO has a very good engineering background and application value.In this thesis,a 0.28?m SOI CMOS process is adopted.According to the requirement of the index,because the supply voltage is 1.2V,the core circuit adopts single cross coupled LC-VCO structure.Because the working frequency is 2.42.4835GHz,the switched capacitor array is used to broaden the tuning range to meet the frequency coverage requirements.At the same time,by tuning the voltage,the linear range of tuning curves is concentrated between 0VDD.By comparing the phase noise optimization method,the low pass filter and the two filter structure of the capacitor capacitor are selected to save the chip area and meet the requirements of the index.The simulation results show that the frequency tuning range of TT/FF/SS process angle and-40/27/85°C temperature is 2.22.8GHz,the maximum tuning gain is lower than 150MHz/V,the phase noise is lower than-100dBc/Hz@1MHz,and the power consumption is less than 1.61mW,and the performance meets the design requirements.The VCO designed in this paper can be used in 2.4GHz Bluetooth/WLAN/Zigbee/Wi-Fi and other devices.
