Design And Implementation Of Non-productive Material Management System

The non-productive material management becomes an important part of enterprise management.It is a great challenge for enterprises to change their traditional manual mode to information system management mode of non-productive materials.It has become a trend for standardizing and automating the business process via the computer information management systems.And,it also has made great contributions to reduce the manual work loading and improve the efficiency of company.A non-productive material management system has been designed and implemented according to the actual situation and business needs of an electronics company in Suzhou.The system adopts the ASP.NET framework,based on the ASP.NET MVC development mode for software develop.Visual Studio is used as the software development environment.Backend services for handling business logics are written in C# language.HTML5,CSS3,jQuery are used to construct frontend web pages.And database is accessed via ADO.NET.The system includes five functional modules: user and user rights management module,non-productive material purchasing management module,non-productive material supplier management module,non-productive material states management module and data export module.The main work is as the following:(1)The non-productive material supplier management module has been designed and implemented according to the existing policies of the company.It including supplier evaluation and selection process.The supplier has been divided into short term supplier,long-term supplier and alliance type supplier by differentially managing proposals.(2)The non-productive material purchasing management and states management module has been analyzed and implemented.The system realizes the purchasing approval process automation and states management systematization of non-productive material.The system controls five states of non-productive materials(inventory state,assets in use,in use,consumed state,discarded state).It is clearly to see and understanding of the non-productive material states for managers,it is helpful for the decision of the nonproductive materials purchasing approval process.(3)The data export module has been designed and implemented.Epicor iScala system(the finance system being used in the company)has been analyzed,designed and defined the data export content and format of the non-productive material system,thus,reduced the manual work loading of finance people.This non-productive material management system has been online in an electronics company.It has reduced a lot of tedious manual work for the employees,realized the standardization of non-productive material suppliers management and purchasing approval process automation.The system also controls non-productive materials states and the semi-automation of the data import into iScala system.It has been changing the manual management mode of non-productive materials.
