With the increasing demand for the performance of mobile communication terminals,the interaction interface of Communication Baseband Processor(BP)and Application Processor(AP)becomes the key issue to design a mobile communication terminal.Currently,UART,SPI,and FS-USB are used as the interaction interfaces between processors.However,as the demand for data functions of cellular networks is getting increasing,the terminal's endurance capability needs are getting higher and higher.the current traditional interactive interfaces between BP and AP already unable to support BP function,data throughput matched by future mobile communication standards and the terminal's low power consumption requirements.Therefore,it is more and more important to design and improve the interactive interface scheme between BP and AP.The author analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the current mainstream interface of processor-to-processor communication architectures,and considers the shortcomings of the existing interface of the project,the support of hardware resources,and the demand characteristics of interactive interface between BP and AP.After a comparative analysis of the characteristics of the HS-USB interface,the HS-USB interface was finally selected as the interface solution for communication between BP and AP.In order to meet the three major characteristics for high-throughput,flexibility,and low-power consumption of the interactive interface between BP and AP,the main work of the subject involves three aspects: 1.In order to improve the data transfer rate of the USB interface as the slave device on the BP communicating with the host computer(AP),the device firmware program is designed and improved in the USB protocol stack;2.Considering that the communication data types of BP and AP are different,in order to avoid interference of transfering different data,a multi-function USB device is developed on the target platform to realize the establishment of multiple physical communication lines for data transmission between the BP and the host computer.3.Taking into account that mobile communication terminals require lower and lower power consumption in practical applications,a low power consumption policy based on BP-AP interactive interface is designed to realize low power consumption of BP.Through the project hardware platform,the above three kinds of design solutions were extensively debugged and verified,and the feasibility of the functions of the three design schemes on the test platform was verified.Finally,the goal and requirements of the project design work was completed,and the functional requirements of actual projects is also fulfilled.
