The Concept And Application Of Documentary Image Archives In A Historiophoty Perspective

Today's image is tomorrow's history.In the hundred years since the advent of recorded images,the light and shadow of human society can be recorded and reproduced,and the vicissitudes of times and historical features revealed the most real side through images.However,the content of the current image archives is complex,and the image is mainly used as a reference for writing documents and archives.The management mode of each archive institution is relatively isolated.Therefore,it is very difficult to study the historical image construction under the big concept of image archives.The image workers who devote themselves to the image construction of history and the image research of social memory also find themselves lacking of scientific theory guidance in practice.Based on the documentary and contemporary nature of recorded images in recording historical and social features,the author puts forward a new concept of documentary image archives under the concept of image file.Taking "using images to document history and society" as the core appeal of the concept,this paper studies the historical construction,social memory and image communication under the concept of documentary image archives.This research takes the image society under the digital technology as the background,and is based on the history of film and television,archival science,social memory and relevant theories of the French school of almanac.Through literature research,field investigation and interview,text analysis and other methods,this paper studies the background,connotation and extension,practical significance and practical exploration of the concept of documentary image archives at multiple levels and multi-dimensions.First,starting from the theoretical basis and taking the historiophoty as the cornerstone,according to the existing research results,this paper summarizes two research paths of the current academia in the study of historiophoty,and discusses the value of recorded images in the study of history and social reality,also puts forward a new research path of archival.Second,based on the principle of logic,under the support of interdisciplinary theory,the concept of the documentary image archives,the clarity and structure and its connotation and extension of the concept introduced in detail,and to record the image files in the history research field of vision to expand,image symbol text narrative system and social memory to build the value of the three aspects are analyzed.Finally,in the concept of documentary image archives forming the basis of a comprehensive and rational cognition,the author investigates and analyses the construction of archival record images at present and development embarking from the practice,and proposes the construction strategy adapted to record the development of the documentary image archive,promoting "image revisionist history" the pace of moving towards a more scientific way.
