With the development of economic and the science and technology,process of China urbanization has continued to deepen.The traditional unit housing community is decreasing in the cities,while the commodity housing is increasing.Communication cost is rising in these commodity housing communities because of the heterogeneity of community residents.The indifference of neighbors is seriously affecting the harmonious community and neighbor relations.Nowadays,with the development of new media technologies,the concept of“intelligent community” has repeatedly been mentioned by the government and merchants,it expects to transform the traditional urban community life to modern life-style.Therefore,the paper expatiates the viewpoints: First,what are the community communication infrastructures,what are the residents' communication behaviors and the residents' senses of community belonging in commodity housing? Second,what are the types of dissemination of such communities,what are the functions of new media,and what kind of communication can be provided by new media? Third,what proposal can be make to develop commodity housing communication? Through the research,this paper hopes to provide a cognitive path for the current commodity housing community communication in China.It looks forward to to promoting the “communicable” of urban communities if possible.In order to answer the above questions,first,writer selected the city "communicable theory" as the target appeal of this research,and then chose "media system dependency theory" of DeFleur & Sandra · Ball-Rokeach to provide a research framework,finally,chose Xi'an' "HuaChengBoJun" community as a research case.Through questionnaire and in-depth interview,the study found that: First,the types of traditional media and new media work together in such communities,and they can be unified into the communication system,such as interpersonal communication,organizational communication and mass communication.Second,the types of new media in urban community communication become more and more diverse,and the division of functions become more and more clear.For example,thefunctional role of WeChat group is mainly communication and interaction,the role of WeChat Official Account is mainly information sharing,the role of and community APP is mainly construction of business circle.Third,although the impact of new media on community is becoming more and more important,it can not take fully advantage of new media,especially in strengthening social relations and emotional connections between community neighborhoods.In the end,while emphasizing the effect of new media on the community,we can not neglect the functions of traditional communication facilities and residents' behavioral practices.Based on the above research findings,this paper also attempts to provide advice for the development of commodity housing community in several aspects: build new media network of community based on community functions;improve the community communication level;refine the community service function;online interaction drive offline participation;multi-media technology promotes the integration of community communication,etc.
