The up-conversion mixer is an important part of the RF transceiver system,it achieves the conversion from baseband frequency to radio frequency and its performance has an important impact on the RF transmitter.Modern communication systems require low power consumption,low power up-conversion mixer is a hotspot and focus of radio frequency integrated circuit research.SOI CMOS technology has the advantages of small parasitic capacitance,high isolation,no latch-up effect,and is suitable for the design of RF circuits.Designing wideband low power up-conversion mixer based on SOI CMOS process has important research significance and application value.This thesis designs a 0.3~3GHz low power up-conversion mixer based on 0.28?m SOI CMOS process.The mixer is improved and optimized based on Gilbert mixer.The transconductance stage of the up-conversion mixer uses resistive source negative feedback technique to increase the linearity of the mixer.Because the resistor has good wideband characteristics,the load stage uses resistive load structure.The design of a low power up-conversion mixer is achieved by reducing the operating current,and the conversion gain of the low power up-conversion mixer is improved by using the positive feedback negative resistance technology under a fixed operating current.Wideband low power up-conversion mixer designs include:circuit design,pre-simulation,layout design and post-simulation,where the overall area of the layout is 0.6630 mm~2.The post-simulation results of the wideband low power up-conversion mixer show that under a 1.8V operating supply voltage,the operating bandwidth is 0.3~3GHz,the conversion gain is 5.89~8.42dB,the input 1dB compression point is greater than-6dBm,the third-order input intercept point is greater than 3dBm and the power consumption is 1.3mW.The up-conversion mixer designed in this thesis meets the requirement of wideband and low power consumption,and has good comprehensive performance.It can be applied to communication systems such as WSN,WLAN and WIFI.
